Halloween Pumpkin Card Builder
Here are a few pictures made using the app, directions follow.
On the main menu, you have the options to (a) 'Build a Pumpkin', which takes you to the pumpkin carving screen, (b) 'Help', which takes you to this page for help with how to use the application, or (c) 'Quit', which closes the program.
On the next page is your pumpkin to carve.
To carve the pumpkin, drag your finger around the screen ontop of the pumpkin
(shown below).
As you carve the pumpkin with your finger, a little carve icon will appear
to let you know where you are carving. You must end a carve 'stroke' (sequence
of moving your finger around on the screen without picking it up) near the
place you started, otherwise the stroke will be not used. When you are done
with a 'stroke', the regions will be automatically carved out (shown in
the next image)
You have the options to (a) 'Undo', which erases the last carve you made,
(b) 'New Pumpkin', which erases the entire pumpkin and starts from scratch,
(c) 'Take Picture', which takes a picture of the carved pumpkin (minus the
buttons) and saves it in your Photo Album, and (d) 'Make Card', which takes
you to a card building screen.
When you are done carving, hit 'Take Picture' to save the image, or hit
'Make Card' to go to the next screen (shown below).
To add a sticker (hair, nose, facial expressions, etc), press 'Add Sticker'. A menu will come up for you to select your sticker.
Three stickers will be displayed for you to select at a time. You can hit the forward arrow (pointed in the right direction) to move to the right, or the backwards arrow (pointed to the left) to move to the left in your sticker set.
To select a sticker, press on it and it will become highlighted. Next, press 'Add' to add the sticker to the card. At anytime you can 'Exit' to quit the menu.
Stickers are added to the card, with the newest sticker added being placed on the 'top layer' (will be displayed ontop of all other stickers if any overlap). To select a sticker, simply press on it and it will become highlighted (on the border). To unselect a sticker, press on the screen where there is no sticker.
You can press 'Remove Sticker' to get rid of a sticker added to the card.
To make a sticker bigger, select it, then press 'Grow Sticker' (the up arrow). To make a sticker smaller, press 'Shrink Sticker' (the down arrow).
At anytime, you can select a sticker and press 'Sticker Back' to move it behind the pumpkin. You can also press 'Sticker Front' to move a sticker back in front of the pumpkin.
If you have multiple stickers ontop of eachother, each time you press down you will select a different sticker. If you want to move that sticker, when you press down to select a different sticker, just start dragging!
If you want to type a message on the card, press the 'TEXT' button (in the upper left corner). You will be prompted with a keyboard (shown below)
Once you are done typing a message press 'QUIT TYPING'. You can press 'TEXT' at any time in the future to edit your message.
When you are ready to save your card (saves automatically to your Photo Album), press the 'DONE' button (in the upper right).To send your picture/card to a friend, just go to your Photo Album, select the image, and you will have an option appear that lets you select the friend to send it to.
